Lucas Valley, an Eichler neighborhood nestled in the hills of Marin, is home to an amazing community and a lot of progressive thinking. The hills and hikes around here are spectacular! The homes also have their own oases, and since they’re Eichlers, you don’t see much of the charm from the front when you’re driving through the area.
The hikes in this area afford spectacular views of the surrounding valleys, hills and country, San Pablo Bay and both Mount Tam and Mount Diablo, the “bookends of the Bay Area.” On a clear day you can even see San Francisco!
Join us for this hike and chai (morning) or lemonade/smoothies in the afternoon.
This hike is MODERATE one way and CHALLENGING another way. The Challenging way is "straight up" the cone-shaped hill that looms up behind the house--it involves a little bushwhacking and rock climbing--to select this route you just need to be in reasonable shape and not have ankle or knee issues. The Moderate way involves walking or driving a couple of blocks to an actual trailhead. :)
