The New Mexico bosque (spanish for 'woodlands') is home to a variety of edible and medicinal plants. This 2 hour walking tour focuses on the terrain and topography of the bosque and how this unique environment evolved.
Fall 2015, watch my blog for details and schedules -
I have been certified as an EMT, Firearms Instructor, Martial Arts Instructor, CPR & First Aid instructor, Personal Trainer, Rescue Diver and Certified Interpretive Guide (teaches classes in the wilderness). I was in the Army National Guard and regular Navy. I've been professionally trained in Mountain Search & Rescue, Wildland Fire Suppression and the Incident Command System as well as outdoor leadership, outdoor survival and herbology. I've worked as a Rover and a Certified Interpretive Guide for the US Forest Service as well as an Assistant Dive Master for a Ft. Lauderdale dive shop. I spent 2 years living off grid in a thousand dollar 'house' I built just west of the Monzano mountains, so I have a decent understanding of the high desert and it's environs. I especially enjoy giving school presentations and am happy to tailor a presentation to fit your classroom standards and grade levels.
