This is one of the most dangerous hikes on the island (if not the most), and isn't for those with an intense fear of heights. The view, however, is astonishing, and the memories will last forever, as will the bragging rights, lol. The hike itself is approximately 4 hours round-trip plus a 25-30 minute ride from Waikiki (one-way). Safety is the primary priority so it may take longer than 4 hours. Be prepared for a 5 hour hike if some of your group isn't in decent shape, but at the same time, as long as you can climb a little, don't let it deter you from trying. There will be no judgement from me outside of safety concerns. I will be there every step/climb of the way, and will help guide your steps as needed. As a liability precaution, a waiver will need to be signed, so at this time I can not take individuals under 18 years old on this particular hike.
Thursdays, 9 AM to 2 PM pick up time
I hike the first 2 peaks 3 times a month and i have completed all 3 peaks a total of 3 times as of today (8/15/15)
  • I will drive your group to and from the hike, assuming pick up is in the Waikiki/Honolulu area. I have a 4 door Chrysler Sebring, so a group of 4, may not be comfortable, but I won't refuse it if you really want to go
  • I can also "GoPro" your group's hike and edit it for an additional $30 if you like.
  • Food
  • Water
  • Backpacks
  • Gear (not that "gear" will be needed, other than a small backpack for your food and water, as you will need to use both hands many times throughout the hike)
You are not required to complete all 3 peaks, however, no refund will be issued for those who decide not to complete all 3. You will need to bring plenty of water (3 liters suggested, 1.5 liter minimum required). Dehydration is a possibility, though not likely as long as you bring the minimum amount of water. As stated, this can be a dangerous hike, so you will need to be able to focus more the farther we go. Few people have lost their lives on this hike from playing around or wet ropes, etc. (not with me of course), so this trail requires a certain respect.
Full refund 2 days prior to tour.
  • Day 1
I will pick your group up between 9 AM and 2 PM as decided prior to the hike. We may stop along the way for water/snacks if needed. We will then park at the base of the mountain. After the waivers are signed, we will stretch for approximately 2-5 minutes and get started. After the hike, I will drive your group back, with a bathroom break on the way. If my schedule allows, then I may even stop at a restaurant along the way, but this can't be guaranteed.
