I will guide you nearly end-to-end through the Diamond Peak Wilderness near Eugene, OR. The trip can be done in 2 days with an early AM summit of Diamond Peak but this short-cuts the prettiest and best graded parts of the trail and requires a 14 mile descent, which most would find uncomfortable. The 2 night route would take you through a series of pristine mountain lakes with amazing views of jagged Mt. Yoran and the summit of Diamond Peak behind. The climb to the top of Diamond Peak is strenuous but doesn't require technical gear. I would require at least in-step crampons if you desire to summit with more than a few feet of snow present. Currently NO snow on peak. The route out is lacking the alpine views but follows the PCT back to Odell Lake, passing numerous ridge line ponds and a spectacular lake view near the T.H.
Please inquire, I am a college student without a set schedule
I have climbed (hiked) the summit Diamond Peak on numerous occasions under sometimes inclement weather. Additionally I have been a dweller of the Pacific NW for nearly a decade and have been a bipedal adventurer set on Cascade exploration for even longer. I am an Eagle Scout and have taught wilderness survival at a variety of institutions.
