The Sawtooth Mountain Range lies within the Rocky Mountain Range in Central Idaho and reaches a maximum elevation of 10,751 ft. It encompasses an area of 678 square miles. There are 57 peaks with an elevation over 10,000 feet in the Sawtooth Range, all between 10,000 to 10,751 feet in elevation. Pitching a tent under the pine forest-lined camping sites creates memories of a lifetime.
I am mostly available and can rearrange my schedule to accommodate your availability.
I spend any free time that I can outdoors hiking/camping. I have backpacked over 33 countries and have slept in my sleeping bag/tent over 100 nights within the past few years.

  • Day 1
I am flexible on meeting location in Boise. Meet around lunchtime and drive up to Stanley, ID (2 - 3 hour trip). Set up camp and enjoy the night relaxing by the campfire, as long as there are no fire bans! We will have a great campfire dinner, campfire and enjoy the stars!
  • Day 2
Awake with a complimentary campfire breakfast, served with hot coffee and/or tea. Several great hiking trails, ranging from easy to moderate and difficult, are easily accessible from the campground. Depending on hiking desire, and ability, we can hike one of the many trails around the area and spend time outdoors. I will take care of packing up camp and we will head back to Boise after our hike, but I am flexible on time if you want to hike farther.
