Washington State has some of the best clam and oyster fields in the world and knowing where to look can lead to an amazing feast. Harvesting is done during low tide so scheduling will have to be done around that and a license is needed but is fairly cheap
Fairly available with advanced notice.
Multiple successful harvests from this location year round. Great cooking techniques.

Cabela's in Lacey, WA
  • Day 1
    Meet at Cabela's to get license and anything else needed. Drive to tide flats in Shelton and spend the next few hours harvesting manila clams and oysters. After limit is reached or guests are finished we can have a BBQ (optional) and/or shuck the oysters and prepare the clams to bring home.
